Children Born to Obese Mothers at Risk of Early Death


A new study conducted by the Universities of Edinburgh and Aberdeen, shows children born to obese mothers face risk of early death as adults than whose mothers with a normal weight.

Researchers state that the study addresses the need for more research to better understand and prevent obesity risks and impact during pregnancy for offspring in later life and the biological processes at work. The study is featured in the BMJ.
