School District Prepares to Go Back After Floods


Pike County School District plans to go back on Monday after flooding tore through the area.

Kentucky requires schools to complete 170 school days and 1,064 hours of instruction.

The plan currently is to extend the school day until the end of the school year by 30 minutes.

The district will not have spring break to help make up missed days, without moving into summer break.
