The World Economic Forum's annual meeting was held in Davos, Switzerland, last week, and one topic was at the top of everyone's mind: climate change.
Here's a look at some of the other hot-button issues on the agenda, courtesy of the BBC, the New York Times, and the International Business Times: Al Gore's climate change documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, will be shown at the forum for the first time on Jan.

The documentary will focus on the effects of climate change on the world's oceans, and will include interviews with climate scientists, environmentalists, and other activists.
It will air on HBO in the US on Jan.

A Swiss group is pushing a new wealth tax to fight climate change.
The Young Socialists of the Social Democrats are proposing a 50% tax on inheritances of more than $60 million to help fight climate change.
"Those who for decades have been jeopardizing our natural resources for their own profit should pay the price," the group's website reads, per the Hill.
The BBC has more on the Swiss referendum process, which requires 100,000 valid signatures to put a new law or existing laws to a vote.
