Deer Park Students Have Special Chances For Learning Language, Music

When Deer Park High School's French Honor Society visited an elementary school in Babylon, NY, last month, the students used their "Learn French Words" magazine to create an "immersive French-speaking environment," according to a press release from the Deer Park School District.

The "creative side of learning was fostered through coloring pages, while the intellectual curiosity of the students was sparked with word searches," the release notes.

They also talked to a high school Haitian student, the Patch.com reports.

"We were so impressed with the students and their enthusiasm to learn the French language," the high school's associate principal says.
