T. Rowe Price Foundation Grants $6.5 Million To Support Non-Profits in Baltimore

The Rowe Price Foundation is making its biggest donation ever to help Baltimore's nonprofits, the Baltimore Sun reports.

The foundation, which was started by the former mayor's brother in 1981, is giving $6.5 million to more than 140 nonprofits in the city over the next three years.

According to a press release, the money will be awarded to eight nonprofit initiatives, including one that aims to " empower nonprofit workers by improving cash flow and reducing debt," as well as one that aims to "cultivate financial stability and resilience within the Baltimore nonprofit community."

The grants will be awarded over the next three years, the Sun reports.

The Rowe Price Foundation has given more than $170 million to the community since its founding, according to a press release.
