10 Bills to Help Homeless Children, Families and Foster Youths

Gov. Jerry Brown has signed 10 bills that will supposedly help and protect "the most vulnerable Californians – homeless children and adults and foster youth."

According to the California Homeless Youth Project, a projected 200,000 minors in California are homeless. The governor also signed legislation that requires that when a decision is made to place a foster child who is medically weak, priority consideration is to be given to foster parents who are nurse practitioners.
