Child Protective Services Kick Off in Rural Colorado

SafeCare, a program geared for child abuse prevention, intends to deliver child protective services for suspected abuse or neglect in rural Colorado.

The program is funded by a budget approved by the legislature, and will kick start in 15 counties and within three years will expand to the entire state. The legislature approved $1.9 million for the program's first year. Same budget amounts were approved for the following two years.
