Inequality and Poverty Increases in New York City

A new census data reads that there is more inequality and poverty in New York City in 2012.

The New York Times' Sam Roberts pinpoints the most alarming stats from the bureau data: 1 in 5 New Yorkers have incomes below the federal poverty line; Nearly 1 in 3 NYC children are living in poverty; poverty rates for African-American and Latino New Yorkers are higher than for whites; and 1 in 3 families headed by a single mother are living in poverty.
