In a paper recently published in the September-October issue of Journal of Environmental Quality, the findings identify the issues surrounding urban agriculture.
Chefs, patrons and communities are looking into growing their locally produced food. Urban gardening is on the rise; however, when there are benefits, there are also challenges. The researchers of the study hope to advance the development of urban agriculture by finding efficient ways in which crops and soils are managed in urban areas.
