30Th Anniversary Milestone for Easter Ross-Based Recycling Social Enterprise Ilm Highland

Scottish charity ILM Highland is celebrating its 30th anniversary this weekend, and the electrical appliance recycling nonprofit has had a big impact on the region over the years.

Over the past three decades, it has collected 32,000 tons of electrical waste, refurbished 1,000 tons of white goods, and assisted almost 50,000 people, according to a press release.

ILM Highland will celebrate its anniversary with a series of events, including a public family open day April 27 at its headquarters in Alness, where there will be entertainment, face painting, candy floss, game, refreshments, and more.

"To see how the organization has grown from day one to where we are todayhaving provided the support that has made a real difference to the lives of over 110,000 vulnerable people across the Highlandsis something everyone associated with ILM Highland should be extremely proud of," says CEO Martin Macleod.
